STATE FOP LABOR COMMITTEE

The Pennsylvania State Lodge Labor Committee is a program of Police Officers Helping Police Officers, on matters related to labor issues. This is not a legal representation program and it helps to save monies on legal fees for questions and information sharing on labor. If the services of legal counsel are needed, we can help you make arrangements for representation. The choice of counsel is all yours, but many issues do not need a lawyer to resolve and that is where we can help you out. Not only do we want to help you, but we need you to help us, by being involved and sharing your experiences with your brothers and sisters. Urge your local lodges to get involved and keep the spirit of fraternalism alive and flourishing.

Participation in the State Lodge Labor Committee is growing and several contacts are being made with Lodges involved with ongoing labor issues. The Chairman of the Committee reported that they are now prepared to receive copies of labor contracts from throughout the state. It is requested that if the contracts are maintained or can be entered into a computer form that the Microsoft Word format be used and the discs be mailed to the Committee. If not, then send the documents for filing and review. DO NOT fax or e-mail the documents to the Committee. Please provide updates as the contracts are revised or amended.
