Corbett Receives Endorsement of Pennsylvania State FOP

HARRISBURG - Today, Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett received the endorsement of the Pennsylvania State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police for the Primary Election.

The Pennsylvania Lodge has 41,000 active and retired members. In giving their support, Pennsylvania Lodge President Les Neri stated that Corbett has a proven record of working with law enforcement.

“As Pennsylvania’s first line of defense in the war against crime in our Commonwealth, we know how essential it is to have a Governor who values and understands the work of law enforcement officers,” Neri said. “In his role as Attorney General, Tom Corbett has a proven record of working with law enforcement to ensure that criminals receive the justice they deserve.”

“I am humbled by the continued support I have received to become Pennsylvania’s next Governor based upon my record of leadership and my vision for our Commonwealth,” said Corbett.

Corbett continued, “Law enforcement officers place their lives at risk every day protecting all of us. It is because of that, I have a profound sense of appreciation of the endorsement. I have worked closely with the Pennsylvania Lodge during my tenure as Attorney General and look forward to doing so as the next Governor.”
